Ryan Deschamps has been a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Waterloo since 2017, which he earned after completing his PhD in Public Policy studying social networks on Twitter and their role in setting policy agendas. His research has covered a wide range of topics including web archiving, quantum cybersecurity, immigration and populism in Canada. Previous to his academic career, he has been a public librarian focussed on digital services to the public.
